Four restaurants offer different dining experiences at Tanjung Rhu Resort. All restaurants are beachfront with a delightful view of the Cape anytime of the day.
The Rhu
A restaurant that embodies the grace and elegance of the casuarina tree. This fine-dining restaurant with air-conditioned and alfresco sections - serving East-meets-West seafood cuisine, amidst the soft strains of a serenading string quartet.
Sands
Sands is an alfresco casual all-day dining restaurant offering local and western fare. This beachfront restaurant with ponds and ceiling fans, serves a variety of Malaysian and Western cuisine. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Saffron
This popular Eastern flavouring lives up to its name at this restaurant. This Mediterranean Restaurant is a popular spot any time of the day. Saffron also has an alfresco section with an unencumbered view of Tanjung Rhu's stunning sunsets.
Reading Room
A cool, quiet haven with a magnificent view, the Reading Room - besides being the venue of English Tea, or coffee, with hot scones, pastries and savouries - also 'serves' an extensive collection of books and magazines for guests' reading pleasure. Also available are compact discs and videotapes of movies which you can enjoy in the privacy of your own room.
Also available is the view from the balcony, where one can play the grand piano whilst taking in the atmosphere that can only be found at Tanjung Rhu.
Sunset Bar
Take a break, relax and unwind at our super Sunset Bar, under the tropical sun with the exquisite vistas of the Andaman Sea serving a variety of food.
BBQ Dinner on the Beach
Imagine, enjoying a romantic evening with your loved one, sipping champagne while watching the sun slowly setting across the far horizon, as far as the eye can see. The moon and star will then appear subtly to welcome the clear evening sky.
It is then our colleague, your private waiter, begins his task of serving our highly recommended, combination of sumptuous, delicious, mouthwatering and exotic selection of a Private Barbeque Dinner on a stretch of 2.5 km of white sandy beach meant for just the two of you.

Dine in privacy and in your own comfort where the setting is no different from dining in a restaurant. Choose your own background music or just enjoy the rhythmic sound of the waves.
